Biography

 

Dr. Sajad Dadfar* is a PhD graduate in Islamic History from the University of Tehran. During his academic tenure at the University of Tehran and Tarbiat Modares University, he had the privilege of studying under distinguished and renowned scholars such as Abdolhossein Zarrinkoob, Mohammad Ibrahim Bastani Parizi, Ehsan Eshraghi, and Sadeq Ayenehvand. 

His profound interest in the cultural, civilizational, and historical developments of the Islamic world led him to focus his Master’s thesis on "A Study of the History of the Advent of Islam in Al-Andalus: From the Beginning to the Early Umayyad Period." Subsequently, he conducted his doctoral research on "The Iraqi Shia Community: Economic and Social Structures and Their Connection to Political Movements (1920–2003)."

Following his graduation, Dr. Dadfar joined the faculty of Razi University in September 2008. He is the founder of the Departments of Historical Sciences and Archaeology at Razi University, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor. Throughout his career, he has held several key administrative positions, including Vice President for Academic Affairs at Razi University. His primary research interests include the history of Shiism, early Islamic history and the Prophetic Sira, the cultural and civilizational history of the Islamic world, and local history with a focus on Western Iran and Kermanshah Province.
