History

The Faculty of Literature and Humanities was founded in 1988 at the present location of the Faculty of Social Sciences with Persian language and literature major. Due to the growing number of educational departments and development of the faculty and with the division of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities from the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2007, the Faculty was established at its new location on Tagh Bostan university campus. Currently, the faculty includes the following departments:  Persian Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Islamic Theology, Geography, Law and Islamic History.
